THE MAINE HIDEAWAY GUEST HOUSE
Located near the tip of Blue Hill Peninsula, Brooklin, Maine, we offer a quiet retreat within an hour drive of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park to the East, and Deer Isle, Stonington and Castine to the West. A one-minute walk from The Maine Hideaway's doorstep brings you into the historic village of Brooklin, Maine with shops, the Brooklin General Store, Brooklin Library and many of the boat yards which makes Brooklin the Wooden Boat Building Capital.
This gorgeous 1874 home hosted guests for years prior to closing in 2009. Jeff and Maribeth Carson purchased the property in May 2016 and within a few weeks, we were up and running for the Summer 2016 season. We love having Wooden Boat School students, guests of summer weddings and into the Fall, we enjoyed meeting all of the "leaf peepers," out exploring our waterways and Acadia National Park. We fell in love with the "magic" of Brooklin and hope you will too.

What a GEM! If you like the back roads and beautiful coastline, this a wonderful place. It’s immaculately clean, the linens are wonderful and is a great value for the price. Loved it here! Robin L. 11/2017
